You Are The One, By: B. Keith Chadwell  (From the CD titled ; "High Country's Westerm Gospel").

"You are the One, you're the one Jesus died for, you are the reason for Gods sacrifice.  The life of His son, was the price that was cried for......  to cleanse all your sins, for all of your life...."

I wrote this song in 1996.  I felt then; "You Are The One" has a powerful message and it remains one of my favorites, for that reason.  This song is from a CD our old High Country Band recoded in my office/studio at the Ranch in about 2001.  Vocals include myself, Julie Miller, Helen Sargent.  Helen also does the mandolin, I do the guitars, Barbara, (my wife) on bass guitar, Terry Miller on Banjo.  This song has ministered to a lot of folks.

They Couldn’t See His Scepter, by: B. Keith Chadwell ©

"The Pharises and the Sadducees wouldn't recognize their King..."Cause they couldn't see His scepter and they couldn't see His Ring..."  (part of a verse from the song)

A “Scepter” by definition is; “A rod or staff, highly ornamented, held by rulers on ceremonial occasions as a symbol of sovereignty or royal or imperial authority.”

Apparently Jewish leaders in Jesus day assumed the Messiah was to come in the natural.  It seems, they were expected Him to come with a physical army, to depose the Romans.  Without eyes to see, natural man can not see the things hidden by God in natural types and metaphors.   Thank God for Jesus, and the gift of the Holy Spirit.

His Beulah Land, by: B. Keith Chadwell ©

"This ground’s not fallow ..any more, this ground is hallowed of the Lord, the hills are filled with fattening sheep, the valley’s covered with ripening wheat, what once was dry and thirsty sand, is Gods delight now…His Beulah land."

(A verse from the song)

This song is from the High Country CD titled: “High Country’s Western Gospel”. This song is filled with scriptural metaphors and is based on scripture references including; John 12:24, Psalms 65:10, Isaiah 32:14, Isaiah 63:1 and42:1, John 7:38 and 4:14, Psalms 65: 9-13, Ezekiel 47:, Genesis 2:10, John 15:, and others. This song covers a lot of “spiritual” ground in a few short minutes.

Rimrocks   by; B.Keith Chadwell ©

Rimrocks tells of a cowboy riding to the tops of some rimrocks in the predawn darness to brood over and pray over world governments and world conditions.  It is here that God reveals a bit of the mystery regarding God's government within us.

The Rocks Cried Out   © B.K. Chadwell

As Jesus hung on the cross suffering brutalities, insults and an agonizing death; creation reacted as recorded in Matthew 27:51.

With this in mind, as well as the information in Luke 19:37-40, I wrote The Rocks Cried Out. The old High Country Band and I recorded it, some years back.

The Tent, by Keith Chadwell ©

The tabernacle in the wilderness, a tent, just a temporary dwelling place of God.  Our bodies are also perhaps like that tent...."the outer court is flesh and blood, but the things you can not see, are hidden in a holy place, deep inside of me"    Recordded by the old "High Country" band some years ago.

Your Glory's Comining Down, by Keith Chadwell ©

An uptempo song I wrote that speaks of the Kingdom of God within us"with less of me and more of Him, His glory's coming down, His Kingdom come, His will be done, right here in my hometown."

In that day, by Keith Chadwell ©

"In that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book".....from Isaiah:    And that day did come, as Jesus, through His work on the cross, made it possible for believers to be partakers of God's divine nature and the ability to hear and understand "the book" through the work of the Holy Spirit in them.

This is a fun little song, with lots of metaphors that I recorded along with Julie Milller (what a voice) and the old "High Country" band at the Ranch studio, before we sold the ranch.

Trails of new life, by Keith Chadwell ©

The Christian life is a new trail which we all choose of our own free will.  Once we choose, God can begin to transform us into the image of His dear Son.  It is the work of the Holy Spirit, nothing we can do but choose to give up our old life, in exchange for His unfathomable love and His new life within us.

Shelter from the storm, by Keith Chadwell ©

Have you ever been out working cattle in a snow storm or a thunder storm? This song should bring back some memories.  Or a time of "winter in your soul"...perhaps? I have wondered once in awhile; "Jesus, can't you hear me calling, through the howlin' of this storm". He is always there!!

Holy Spirit Wine, by Keith Chadwell ©

This a true story, put into song form, that happened to me years ago as I pulled into a convenience store off of the freeway.  A young man was in the store, I stood in line behind him as he... "bought a quart of wine......"

"It's God Working In You"  B. K. Chadwell

It is never "our" righteousness, we just can't work up a sustainable dose of; "do what is right, all the time".  We can do NOTHING without Him and that includes the, true blue, "from the Heart" will or knowledge to do what is always right.   We, also, need the Holy Spirit's power working in us to do it, all of the time.    It is His Grace that produces His righteousness in us.  It is always Him working in us, to both will and to do, His good pleasure.    This is a song I wrote  a little while after God showed me that;  the true definition of "Grace" was all about His..."divine influence on our hearts".  (See Chapter 4; "The Kingdom of Heaven's at Hand", titled "Grace, grace, grace...or Do, do, do" on the "Book/Teachings" page of this site.)

"Jesus Loves Me All the Time" B. K. Chadwell

The love of Jesus for us is beyond anything we can think or imagine.  He willingly died in order to make it possible for us to become partakers of the Fathers Divine nature and to become members of the family of the God.  He is faithful to keep that which we commit to Him and He loves us.......ALL of the time, in spite of our shortcomings.

"The Blue Side of Lonesome" B. K. Chadwell

We recorded this song with the old High Country band at the ranch studio, a few years back. "The Blue Side of Lonesome"  brings out the practical, down to earth ministry of "Christ in you".  This song gives us a peek at the every day importance of just being available and willing to do whatever the Lord might bring your way.  This, in order that the "Jesus in you" can be manifest and work in and through you to bring a measure of light where there is darkness.

Job  B. Keith Chadwell & The High Country Band

Job had no intercessor, as we do in Christ.  Job 9:32-35 (ASV) "For he (God) is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him,That we should come together in judgment. There is no umpire betwixt us, That might lay his hand upon us both.   Let him take his rod away from me, And let not his terror make me afraid: Then would I speak, and not fear him; For I am not so in myself."  Now, Christ has come and we have a great intercessor Heb 4:14-16 (ASV)

Rimrocks (as a poem) written and narrated B. Keith Chadwell, w/instrumental backgrounds, adapted by a song from the same name, by Keith.

Rimrocks was first written as a song, by Keith, while Keith and Barb owned and operated; Ruckles Creek Ranch.  From the rimrocks on the hills above the ranch, one can see the Majestic Eagle Mountains and on a clear day, early in the pre-dawn, one can see a scene such as described in "Rimrocks".  The inspiration comes from revelation in Joel 2:, Psalms 37:, and a number of other scriptures relating to Christ and His light in us arising "as the light".  "The light", in the natural, in Bible times, most often referred to the sun.  Not surprising, then, that we may be able to see  a Spiritual connection to the natural sun and the Son of God, as the Holy Spirit opens the eyes of our Spiritual understanding.

Joe 2:1-2 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

Psa 37:4-7 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
